The high standard of minipig health is of utmost importance to us and our customers.

This is why we keep the population of minipigs in two full barrier facilities.

These facilities include HEPA-filtered ventilation with 100% fresh air, overpressure, disinfection locks for diet and materials, shower locks for personnel and a closed manure system.

Feed and bedding material are heat treated and irradiated to prevent microorganisms from entering the barriers.

No animals are allowed to enter the population, and sold animals are released for transportation through the air lock.

All staff, visitors and guests must obey strict quarantine rules to prevent possible contamination of the minipigs.

Like all other procedures within the company, the high standard of health is regulated by the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Every staff member is instructed in the use and importance of the SOPs.
