Minipig Continuing Education session

Minipig Continuing Education: ADME/DMPK, Toxicology, Animal Welfare and Pathology

Paris: October 17, 9:00-15:00

Frankfurt: November 28, 9:00-15:00

Registration fee: €100/€200 (before/after June 1 2012)

This Minipig Continuing Education (MCE) session provides in-depth coverage of four key areas in safety assessment of pharmaceuticals: ADME/DMPK, Toxicology, Animal Welfare and Pathology. Attendees will be tutored by four experts in the field, thus acquiring a fundamental thorough understanding of the minipig within these areas, addressing the important questions: how does the minipig compare to the non-human primate (NHP) and the dog, and how does it compare to man? This is to ensure that the most relevant non-rodent species is selected.

Target audience

Professionals from contract research organisations (CROs) and pharmaceutical companies working with ADME/DMPK, toxicology and pathology who wish to expand their knowledge about minipigs in these areas. Attendees will improve their skills and competencies, which will be beneficial for them as well as for their organisations.

Practicalities

This MCE session will be held at a central European location (close to a major airport) in the second half of 2012 as a one-day meeting with five hours face-to-face time – only one day out of the office! Coffee, refreshments and lunch are included and the program includes breaks for networking.
